4 Stars DIGITECH RP-1, BIG and POWERFUL, June 03, 2007
Reviewer: Ernie G from Earth, Greensboro, NC. USA

I had picked up a DIGITECH RP-1 processor about 12 years ago while on a job in Muncie, Indiana. There was a Music Store there that had a rental business for traveling bands and I happened to stumble in upon a new return of an RP-1. I tried it with the programming that was in it and was totally blown away. I bought it at an amazingly low price at(under $250.00) and went right to my work box and stowed it up safely in the little peanuts and took it home on a flight the next day. It had gone on the road with me whenever I traveled for work as I could plug into it for practice and It had so many settings I don't think I ever got to use them all. Yes, I was broken into when I was in the Hospital getting some major body work done and some M/F stole it. I hope it burned his carpet up or something, but it was, by far, the BEST BOARD I EVER HAD !!! I have gone though several different types now and still would buy an RP-1 if I found one. IF anyone knows of one for sale, leave me a note using the board here! Thanks, Ernie G

4 Stars DigiTech RP300A, May 26, 2007
Reviewer: Gmcwethy from Hampstead, NC

The RP300A is an easy to use digital processor. It has a wide variety of presets. I have changed many of them to suit my own taste. Digitech's web site offers a sound community where you can copy members presets for the processor or even post your own. Other features it offers include a drum machine and a "Learn-A-Lick Mode." You can record 10 seconds of a track and slow down the speed up to 1/4 time to help you hear the individual notes better. The only negative for this processor is the sensitive power supply connector to the unit. If you are a closet guitarist like myself, this unit will give you a long life of jamming versatility.

Not bad with headphones. Not to be used through an amplifier, especially a tube amplifier. Ouch...

Decent variety of effects. Simple drum machine is mostly lame but there are some useful beats. Good for practicing in a bedroom, prototyping ideas. Useful for effects noobs to get an idea of what individual pedals to buy... which brings me to my next point: this device, like any multieffects device, doesn't compare at all to a real chain of single, dedicated units/pedals.

Still though, fun for chillin' in a bedroom quietly through headphones.

Good processer, programable and pretty easy to use. All the effects you could ever want. Some of us over 40 types might have a little trouble remembering all the bells, whistles and tricks.

Great tube sound! This processor has just about everything you could want. It is totally programmable so that you can get your own distict tone, or make your guitar sound like Hendrix, EVH, or anyone else. If I could add one feature it would be a second pedal so that one could be used for volume when the other was set up for a wah or other effect.

3 Stars DigiTech RP-100 Guitar Processor, May 22, 2007
Reviewer: Randy from Conway, AR

The wide-range of sounds the RP-100 is capable of producing is pretty impressive. Whether you want to play hard rock or ballads, you can find at least one sound that you'll want to use. For the most part it's easy to use but getting the settings you want can be difficult sometimes due to the sensitivity of the adjustments. Overall, a great little product. I would definitely recommend that anyone looking for a multi-effects pedal or guitar processor take a serious look at the DigiTech line.
