ZOOM G2, June 03, 2007
Reviewer: Ernie G from Earth. Greensboro, NC. USA
I had a ZOOM 505 Guitar pedal and I reallyliked it and then I left it with my brother for a short while and his kids did the " I wonder if this power box will fit it " and toasted a Capacitor init. I saved it to repair and then bought a new ZOOM G2 Series Guitar Box. MAN was that the right buy for me !!! This ZOOM is built of STEEL !! No more cheap plasitc crap and it has monster tough stomp pedals. I think it has almost everything anyone would ever need to start out with and learn how much stuffing your guitar really can put out. Works on Batteries and the supplied power box....one small tip..Don't let the neices and nephews play with it unless you have the power box taped to it so they use the right one...Whatever you do, don't discourage them from playing!
Rock it!

Zoom 505 II, May 29, 2007

I got my zoom 505 II from my uncle. It is really easy to use.
The distortion is not so very good, but everything else about it is great. It's really good to use this if you want to learn how different effects work together
its a very good pedal!!!!!!!

This unit is more fun than anyone deserves. You could get lost for days at a time making new patches for your guitar sound. I docked it a star ONLY because I find the controls and setup completely counter-intuitive, but some time spent messing with it pays off.

Zoom Player 3000 Advanced Effects Pedal, May 24, 2007
Reviewer: Ben from Houston, TX
This is a great starter board. The Acoustic settings are quite good in reproducing the sounds from an electric. It has a unique effect which does a pretty good job of reproducing the classic Voice Box effect. It uses an optional foot pedal that can be programmed to control volume, wah, or other user defined effects live. It also uses a mic for the Voice Box effects. Comes with plenty of preloaded settings and about 30 or so user definable storage locations.

Zoom 606 Guitar Effects, May 23, 2007
Reviewer: Bede from USA
In my own opinion as a beginner the Zoom has alot of different settings, sounds ect. But, I think its a little to complicated to customise, if using it with the presets its great, but unless you have allot of time and some good understanding it is a little hard to set up. Again, I am just new at this so to say, so its more likely me than the unit it self. The only thing I know is that I cannot get the particular sound I am trying to get. I use on a regular basis a Boss CS-3 and a Dod extreme Distortion pedal. I do think it does have allot of options for you, and allot to experiment with, but to time consuming to set up your own custom sound. I think I would look for something else, even if you have to pay more.

Zoom G7.1ut, May 22, 2007

This is a great console. With 10 banks of 4 (40) time 4 (160) there's not an effect or tone you could'nt create. Live and studio settings (studio allows you to use the cabinet modeling feature) . Allows you to layer effecs and control up to 4 simultaniously with the expression pedal. Editing effects on the fly is a breese. Plus it comes with Cubase LE recording software and a free downloadable effects librarian/editor so you could modify complete set ups, store them on a laptop and download them before a gig..I'll buy again (probably the G9 this time) Oh yea, there's no discernable delay switching effects..
