Product Description
The Ovation Celebrity features A-shaped bracing that was perfected over the last few years through a computer modeling process. This technology was once only available in more expensive instruments. The sound of the mahogany top Celebrity is a bit darker and moodier than its spruce top brother. The Celebrity cutaway boasts almost two full octaves of fingerboard access.

I've had my CC11 for about 4 years, I am yet to find a acoustic guitar that is as easy to play with such great sound with both metal and acrylic strings a definite 10 out of 10.

Ovation Celebrity CC11 with a deep body, May 23, 2007

I purchased this guitar second-hand in 1989. It was only a year old. It was in beautiful condition. It is the one of the easiest guitars to play that I've ever played. It has a warm rich tone that people comment on. Friends who've played were shocked at its ease of play. Unfortunately, my model does not have a pickup system. The only downside to the deep parabolic body is that is has a tendency to roll so that the soundboard faces a little upwards. The new Ovations are shallower and sport squarer edges. I still use this guitar as my instrument for composing. It is a dear old friend.

Ovation Balladeer 12-string, May 23, 2007

My model has a deep parabolic body. The fretboard is rosewood. The pickup system is excellent. It is very adjustable tonally and will amaze you to hear it through a decent amp. I played on stage a short time after buying it in 2004. Later, I watched a video of the performance and could not believe my ears! After the show, people praised the sound and they still do to this day. That's amazing considering it is not a top of the line model. I have very large hands so I use it as a six-string mainly. It's great for recording. It is a quality guitar in the lower medium price range. It's a good choice if you don't have a lot of money to splurge. Stop in a shop and try one. I did. After playing about 100 different guitars, I decided it had the most value for the money and it was the right size for me.

This was the first "Branded" guitar I ever owned. I bought it nearly 20 years ago, it doesn't even have a pre-amp, just the Tone & Volume.
As an acoustic, it's rich. Full tones, and can be mellow, or it can really rock without losing its tone.
As an Electro, I have to knock the tone control to around 5, or it's just too trebly. (I'm sure it'd make your ears bleed if you played it long enough.) That said, having made the tone adjustment, it's a nice sound.
I know some people who really don't like the sound, Ac or El, but I do, and that's what counts.
It has a supershallow roundback body, but can hold its own against Jumbo or Dreadnought acoustics, no sweat. Honeyburst finish, which is just so nice to look at too!
The action is a little high for my liking, but I haven't done anything about it yet. The playability is terrific for a 'low- price range guitar'. It's the one I use for general purpose practice and stuff like teaching or songwriting. If anything happened to it, I'd be gutted and have to get another one, right away. I have other acoustics, but this one is the one I would have to replace with an identical model
