Product Description

Jackson is a guitar manufacturer originally owned and operated by Grover Jackson, a partner of Wayne Charvel of Charvel Guitar Repair. It is probably best-known for its "Rhoads" V model guitar, originally designed and used by guitarist Randy Rhoads. Jackson's today are most notable for their outstanding quality and fast playability. Jackon is now owned by Fender.

5 Stars Jackson Pro Series DK2 Dinky, January 06, 2008

All I can say about this guitar is WOW!!! The neck is lightning fast and what a beautiful finish (I have the Trans Blue). The PUs have a really nice sound with full distortion as well as clean. The Floyd Rose is a lot of fun, though I am still trying to learn how to sneak in the vibratos. The body has a nice feel and reaching all of the frets is easy because the heel is contoured. This model is a Japanese made and I have not found any defects yet. I compared this to the DK2M, but did not care for the sound of the EMGs. I also looked at a DK1 (made in India) not so good. Jackson should reconsider building guitars in a country that does not understand the purpose of a Rock n Roll guitar. Put it this way, when your labor force is making only a couple of bucks a day, it is hard for them to put much effort into a luxury item.

5 Stars Jackson DK2M Pro Dinky, May 30, 2007
Reviewer: Mark from Central,Texas USA

I bought this at the begining of this year. Its the Jackson DK2M Pro Dinky with Seymour Duncans, the real deal.Has JB-4 in bridge and the Jazz in the neck. This is one of the best guitars I have owned and I have owned 27 guitars, currently have 7.I have had all kinds,Ibanez's,Les Pauls,Fenders,Dean. But this one I love. The only downside or complaints I had with it was 2 things.1st the frets on this one were really kind of rough along the edge of the neck, about 5mins with really fine steel wool fixed that but the really major complaint I had was the volume know was really in the wrong place in a bad way.If I tried to mute the higher strings the knob would keep my hand from getting in the right position. But that also was easily fixed.I took out the tone knob(never use it anyway) and put it inside the rear cavity,no rewiring or cutting there.I then put the volume knob where the tone was. Then to cover the volumes original hole I bought one of those plastic screw covers from Home Depot, put a drop of superglue on it covered the hole.Since I have the black guitar I bought a black cover, but its plastic so it could easily be painted to match the guitar. All together about 15mins of work and this my most fav out of the 7 I own. Just for reference I own-Dean Z,2 Ibanez RG570's,USA Jackson Rhoads,EB Music Man Axis,Martin Acoustic and of course this guitar.

5 Stars Jackson USA DK1 Dinky -280-3019, May 28, 2007
Reviewer: Dave E from Toronto Canada

I've had this guitar now for about 4 months. It's the 2006 model with the flamed maple top. I have 11 guitars but this is the one I play most. I love the thin, compound radius neck - makes it real easy to play. The Floyd Rose stays in tune - I only need to retune every 7 - 10 days. The EMG active pickups are very versatile. It's my most expensive guitar but the difference in quality compared to some of my other high end guitars is worth it. I can't say anything bad about this guitar.
